It was my experience as a cook that first led me to ceramics, as it is an omnipresent tool in the preparation of our meals. That's why food is at the heart of my concerns when I create utilitarian ceramic pieces. In both decoration and function, food plays a major role in the production process. I draw inspiration from mushroom strips to create a simple, timeless decor in hues reminiscent of autumnal undergrowth.
Wanting to get my hands dirty in the broadest sense of the word, I use the turning technique to make my objects. This technique allows me to have direct contact with the material and gives me the opportunity to create unique objects.
My work has been created with a view to integrating it into people's everyday lives. I rely on curved, fleshy shapes to inspire confidence in the everyday use of my products. In keeping with these values, I focus on products with many practical functions.
