Marie Serreau

I create original, delicate and smiling pieces. I turn my pieces or shape them by hand. I like to throw fine for the pleasure of the lips. I feel very free and spontaneous in my work. In the setting, I'm weightless. I let myself be completely guided by the brush, which is saturated with blue or black colored clay (engobe). My gesture is like a dance: I don't think, I paint, then I engrave to create and refine the decor. The pieces are then fired 2 times. Although each piece is unique, they all belong to the same recognizable family.

I also explore sculpture through small characters, gignog dolls that tell stories. Guardians of Light, passengers of time or magicians, these sculptures are linked to the tales and stories of childhood that accompany us throughout our lives...

A look at what you will discover.
