The beauty of the medium, clay, is the foundation of my research and creative process. In the course of my studies, I was able to explore different clay bodies. The simple, uncluttered beauty of translucent white porcelain was love at first sight. I use a technique called nériage, a mixture of earths, and mix it with red earthenware, which is rougher and warmer. Landscapes take shape through the translucent play of porcelain. I'm particularly fond of shaping by hand, so that the pieces are created more slowly and gently, and each one has perfect imperfections. To accentuate this softness, only the interiors are glazed, so that you can fully appreciate the touch of the bare clay.
