Dominique Plamondon

Having divided my life between Quebec City and a corner of the forest in the Chaudière-Appalaches region, I quickly became aware of the consequences of human activity on nature. Among other things, I've observed non-compliant septic systems, waste management, over-occupation of the land, massive tree-cutting and animal exploitation. All these actions have repercussions on our living environments and biodiversity. As a result, I'm limiting the volume of ceramic pieces I produce, in keeping with my ecological values and lifestyle.

Until now, the pieces I've produced have been function-oriented. I like to integrate a decor that suggests my definition of happiness. To achieve this, I draw my inspiration mainly from memories and anecdotes that make me smile.
